Field Issues with IP Office 1.3 Upgrades
Avaya SMBS Technical Support have been receiving reports from the field that upgrades from IP Office 1.1 software to IP Office 1.3 software have been failing. After investigation of these cases it has been found that upgrades are being performed by using the latest 1.3 .bin level of software without obtaining the latest matching IP Office 1.3 Administration suite software.
PLEASE NOTE:
When performing the IP Office upgrade the latest level of IP Office
Administration suite software must be used. This is documented in the
1.3 Technical Bulletins.
The symptoms of the upgrade failures are "system hangs" and missing IP Office 1.3 "features".
The problems are due to upgrading with incompatible versions of IP Office 1.3 .bin files and IP Office 1.1 Administration suite software.
When performing the IP Office upgrade between software levels, obtain the IP Office 1.3 Administration suite software. See IP Office 1.3 Technical Bulletin 0006, section 1 or IP Office Technical Bulletin 0005, section 19 for detailed IP Office upgrade instructions.
