023: SMDR Logging Tandem Calls

2nd June 2003 - Full PDF Text Version

When making an external call that has been account coded, if the user places that first call on hold and makes a second outgoing call to an external number, the user will also need to account code the second call they make in order for the SMDR logger to log both calls correctly with account codes.

The reason for this is that the SMDR call logging application is based upon the CCC Delta Server, when this kind of scenario occurs the Delta Server simply sees two separate outgoing calls, not related. This is not viewed as 2 separate call segments but 2 distinct calls, which are logged individually and is why both calls would need to be account coded by the user.
