A new feature was introduced in IP Office 1.4 core software, ‘Group call waiting’. Feedback from the field has identified the need to clarify how this feature should be configured.
It can be enabled by going to the relevant group in the IP Office configuration, and selecting the tick box ‘Call Waiting On’.
This feature is only supported by groups that are set to the Ring Type of ‘Group’.
ALL the users in the group must also have their own Call Waiting setting set to ‘On’. If they do not, then the behavior of this feature may not be as intended, and could be confusing.
When configured as above, the users in the group who are already on a call receive call waiting indication when a new call rings the group.
