187: IP Softphone Fails to Register with IP Office

With Phone Manager Pro PC Softphone the error message "Failed to register with IP Office for VOIP operation! Contact your system administrator" can be displayed. This is due to the Microsoft Windows Com+ System Application service not running.

The Com+ System Application service must be set to Automatic (and be started) in order for the IP Softphone to be able to correctly register. Additionally, the QoS RSVP service must be set to Manual or Automatic. Any other combination will result in the "Failed to register with IP Office for VOIP Operation" error message to appear.
