In IP Office 4.0 and higher, when using a Universal Paging Access Module (UPAM) for a paging interface connected to an analog station port on the IP Office, the Equipment Classification on the Extension Analogue tab must be configured for "IVR" instead of "Paging Speaker".
The reason for this is so the IP Office drops loop current when the call/page is over to tell the UPAM to stop paging and restore BGM (or at least disconnect from the IP Office so disconnect tone is not played over the speakers).
