This Technical Tip is to advise customers of a new Power Supply Unit (PSU) for IP Office Expansion Modules. The current power supply from "Sparkle" used for Field Replaceable Units (FRU) is being replaced with a new PSU from "Powersolve".
The "Sparkle" PSU, when installed with a fully populated DS30 (700426216) Expansion Module, may fail on power up.
The "Sparkle" PSU is identified as "700479645 IPO/B5800 PWR SUPP 24V 2.5A":
Note: This issue does not affect the Digital Station DS30B RJ45 (700501586) or DS30A RJ21 (700500698) Expansion Modules.
