Upgrade Logs

Scroll Prev Up Next More

During the upgrade process, a number of log files are created. Whilst interpreting the logs is not expected, being able to obtain those logs is necessary in order to raise a support ticket for any issues that occur.

USB Upgrade Key Logs

The USB upgrade key contains logs for each server it is used to upgrade. These are stored in the /logs folder on the memory key:

backup_logs.txt - This file contains a record of the actions performed by the upgrade scripts to backup data from the R11.0.4.5 server. If the USB upgrade key is used for multiple servers, each servers logs are appended to the file.

restore_logs.txt - This file contains a record of the actions performed by the upgrade scripts to restore data to the R11.1 SP2 server. If the USB upgrade key is used for multiple servers, each servers logs are appended to the file.

VMDK Log Files

The same log files as above as added to the /logs folder on the virtual hard disk.

Server Logs

In addition to the logs above, the following additional logs may be required in order to raise a support ticket:

/opt/webcontrol/log/web.log

/var/log/rsyslog

/opt/MediaManager/MediaManagerService.log

/opt/Avaya/apache-tomcat/logs/MediaManager.log

The existence of a /opt/MediaManager/Backup/mm_back.tar.gz file or not should also be noted.
