此电话在产品外观和功能上类似于 4601。但是只有 IP Office 支持 5601 电话。5601+ 是符合 RoHS 的版本，它取代了之前的 5601 IP 型号，但其它方面相同。

此电话要求独立的电源，使用 Avaya 1151D1 或 1151D2 电源装置和电线或 802.3af 以太网供电 (PoE) 源。
