A new shortcode was put into the IP Office Small Office Edition and for systems with Analog Trunk Module 4 port cards (ATM 4) for enabling modem calls.
The first analog trunk on the Small Office Edition controls units and on the ATM 4 trunk cards can be switched to V.32 modem operation with V42 error correction by using the following shortcode:
Shortcode: *9000*
Telephone number: "MAINTENANCE"
Feature: RelayOn
This allows incoming modem calls for system maintenance operations on that trunk.
When on, the trunk can only be used for modem calls.
The default system short code *9000* can be used to toggle this setting. When in use, the control unit status LED on Small Office Edition control units flashes alternate red/green. The default for this shortcode is off.
