Avaya no longer supports the use of the Time of Day (TmDay) button on 5400, 2400 and 1600 series telephones on IP Office version 4.2 and higher.
With the release of version 4.2 all of these telephones show the date and time on the idle display (except Logged out /NoUser 1600 Telephones).
If configured on a version 4.2 system, or if previously configured on a system with a previous release that has been upgraded to version 4.2, the button and display may appear to work as expected, but the interaction of the Time of Day update and normal call activity updates may result in incorrect call and time information being displayed.
