IP Office Technical Tip

New Release of R8.0 IP Office Administration

This Technical Tip is to advise customers about the availability of a new release of IP Office Administration 8.0(53). This new software replaces the 8.0(51) 4Q 2012 Maintenance Release made available on November 30 2012.

This new release incorporates new 9500 series telephone firmware which resolves an issue with 9508 telephones not starting correctly and continually displaying "Please Wait". For further information please see Product Support Notice PSN003878r1.

This release also includes support for the new IP500 Analog Trunk Module - ATM4U V2 and IP500 ATM Combination Card V2. The ATM4U V2 and ATM Combination Card V2 are only supported in IP Office 500 V2 systems.

Note: When administering a system running 8.0 software with a new ATM4U V2 or ATM Combination Card V2 the 10.0(53) or later Manager must be used.
