Unified Communications Module (UCM)- USB Flash Drive Compatibility

This Technical Tip is to advise customers about USB flash drive compatibility with the IP Office Unified Communications Module (UCM).

A small number of customers have reported issues attempting to use some USB flash drives to upgrade the UCM. When attempting to start the UCM from the USB Flash Drive "Unable to open kickstart file" may be displayed.

Due to the rate of change and the large number and variance of USB flash drive manufacturers, Avaya cannot guarantee that all USB devices will work with the UCM.
