1600/5600 Series Telephones - Logging Off Hot Desk Users

This Technical Tip is to clarify the use of the "Log Out" option found under the "MENU" button of the 1600 series and the "Log off" option under the "OPTIONS" button of the 5600 series telephones. These specific options are not supported by the IP Office system and should not be used to log off a Hot Desk user.

There are a number of ways a Hot Desk user can log on and log off the IP Office system including:

• Programmed telephone feature buttons with Logon and Logoff

• Short Codes - IP Office has default ShortCodes for logon (*35) and logoff (*36)

• Navigating through the IP Office "Features" menu to the "PhoneUser" options for logon and logoff (1600 series telephones only).
