DECT R4 Installations in North and South America

This Technical Tip is to advise that a NoUser Source Number string is required in the IP Office configuration where the DECT R4 system frequency is set to either North or South America.

This setting ensures that the DECT system frequency remains correctly configured following a restart of the IP Office Control Unit. This is applicable to 7.0, 8.0 and 8.1 IP Office software releases.

For installations in North America the following Source Number is required: IPBS_FR_NA

For installations in South America the following Source Number is required: IPBS_FR_SA

The Source Number can be added using Manager as follows:

  1. Retrieve the IP Office configuration

  2. Navigate to the "NoUser" user

  3. Click the "Source Numbers" tab

  4. Click the "Add" button, enter the required Source Number and click "OK"

  5. Click the "Save Configuration File" button

  6. Ensure the "Merge" option is selected to send the configuration to the IP Office system without restarting.
