This Technical Tip is to advise customers about new Service Pack 5 and 6 builds for IP Office 9.0 Server Edition systems.
Further to the issue documented in IP Office Technical Tip 279 detailing the Server Edition upgrade issue, Avaya have made available new Service Pack 5 and 6 Server Edition software available. Previously during the upgrade process, having successfully uploaded the .ISO file, the upgrade progress indicator in Web Manager may not reach 100%. When the Server Edition system is restarted the Linux Operating system will report a "Kernel Panic", the Server Edition system will not be able to start.
The new software builds, 9.0.5.0.973 and 9.0.6.0.980 resolve this issue and are now available to download from the Avaya Support web site.
The new software can be downloaded from the Avaya Support web site using the following links:
IP Office Server Edition systems already running the previous Service Pack builds, 9.0.5.0.972 and 9.0.6.0.979, do not need to upgrade to these new builds of software.
